Competition & Game Rules - COD4 5v5 SnD $650 Tactical Mayhem

This 5v5 Search and Destroy tournament will consist of a 16 team pool play followed by a 4 team single elimination bracket. There will be 4 pools of 4 teams where the top 2 teams will advance to the single elimination bracket.

Pool Play
  1. Top two teams from each group will advance to bracket
  2. Pool placement and seeding will be random
  3. Each match will consist of playing all 3 matches
  4. You will report your win/lose as 3-0, 2-1, etc
  5. Pool ranking will be based on total points.
    Each win will count as 1 point
    Top two teams with the hightest point total will advance to bracket
  6. In the event of a statistical tie, tied teams will face-off in a Best of 3 match.
Bracket
  1. 16 Team single elimination
  2. Bracket play will be best of 5
  3. Same tournament SnD rules apply
  4. Bracket seeding will be based upon position in group rank
Search And Destroy Rules
These rules apply to both group and bracket play
  1. Each team picks 1 map. In case of best of 5, each team will pick two maps
  2. Team that does NOT pick the map has the option of hosting the match.
  3. Team that does NOT pick the map will pick sides
  4. The final map in each match will be preset from tournament rules
  5. For the final map, the team that won the most rounds in the previous matches can pick sides OR host.
  6. If both teams won the same number of rounds and there is still dissent regarding who willl host or who chooses side, this will be resvoled by a 1v1 1 Minute Shipment battle where the first kill wins. If after a minute, there is not winner, two new players will be selected. This continues until winning side is determined
  7. Teams may subsitute players between maps only. Player changes cannot occur until after the map round has been completed.

The third map in the pool play round will be pre-defined as:
  • Round 1:District
  • Round 2:Bog
  • Round 3:Strike
  • Round 3:Overgrown
Bracket maps will be published once the pool play is over
Tournament Match Schedule

For this tournament, teams will be required to play only two matches per week. The default matches times are Tuesday 9PM EST and Thursday 9PM EST. If two teams cannot agree on a time, then the default teams suggested above will be the match time.

Once a match time is agreed, if a team does not show up within 20 minutes they will forfeit the match

At the start of each round, and before each match is played teams must send a match time request and the opposing team must respond.

Each week will consist of two rounds of play, where in each round will consist of one match. If you cannot make the default match times, it is your teams responsiblity to propose and coordinate a new match time with your opponent

Matches may be played anytime within the round as long as a match time request is send and approved

Reasonable time of play is weeknights between 7pm-10pm EST and weekends between 2pm-midnight EST. Teams will not be expected to play between work or school days.

Hosting

By default hosting rules follow the match rules stated above. If however a team does not have a suitable host, the other team may become host if they have a superior host. If neither team has a suitable host, then a neutral host can be requested.

It is expected that each new host will perform the requisite "lag test" before each match.

If the host connection is dropped during the match the host team forfiets that round. Both teams must get into new host room and commit sucide to get back to the exact round count including the old host team loss

If a player is disconnected during the match, it is that player's team's responsiblity to invite the player back to the match. Only that exact player may be invited back to the game.

Team Registraion
  1. Only players registered and assigned to your roster will be able to play in the match. No unregistered subs will be allowed
  2. Gamer tags must be accurately entered on the site. Players that do not have accurate gamer tags will not be able to play in match
Disputes
Players may dispute a match result if:
  1. There is video or photographic evidence documenting the violation
  2. Any tournament rule has been violated
Referees

Referees may be requested for any match.

 

Illegal Gameplay
1. No leaving the normal boundaries of a Map.
2. No going into the tunnel walls on Pipepline.
3. No going onto top of the arch on District.
4. No going onto Invisible Ledges.
5. No jumping off of another Character.
6. No using the Grenade Launcher.
7. No using the Frag x 3 Perk.
8. No using C4.
8. No using rapid fire controller or any enhanced controllers.
10. No removing players on the opposing Team from the private match once a Game has started. 11. Breaking rule #1-10 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
